Engaged in natural farming without using pesticides

We farm using natural and organic means to nullify the use of chemical pesticides and fungicides that are known to cause health issues. We use multi-pronged strategy of using bio pesticides, bio control agents, and organic pesticides to ward of the pests from our crops.

Harvested at the right maturity stage (peak of freshness, flavor and nutritional value)

We want our customers get maximum benefit of ordering Rainbow Veggies™ by ensuring the vegetables are only harvested at the right maturity stage.

Research indicates that when the color is fully developed on the plant itself, all the phytonutrients / minerals / vitamins will be 100% as well unlike the traditional vegetables that are traded in the current market place (which are plucked from the plants at 40- 60% color stage and rest of the color is developed during transport through artificial means).

We are making this possible in our own local farms and our sourcing partners that are local farmers with small land holdings in and round the mega cities and hence our delivery and transport time is very minimal compared to the inter-state transport of vegetables.

We also engage in and encourage our farmer to natural farming so that the use of pesticides can be brought to zero thus providing long term health benefits for our customers.

Non GM, non-hybrid & traditional and heirloom varieties

We do not grow or encourage others to grow GMO foods. Our seeds are in most cases heirloom, old world varieties with some exception of hybrid seeds but none of them GMO.

We are putting our best efforts to offer more traditional and heirloom varieties (varieties that are ~ 40-50 yrs. old) that are proven superior in terms of taste and flavor when compared to modern day hybrid varieties.
